Solution

Using highly-automated equipment and special clamping methods for cutting, it is possible to avoid pinching of the cut-off wheel and conduct a successive hardness tests on even the most difficult gear surfaces in a process consisting of:

Cutting with a Axitom-5 using special clamping methods
Grinding and polishing with an AbraPol-30 in 4 automated steps using a specific selected sequence of surfaces
A fully automated CHD-measurement of 15 indentations with Duramin-40AC1
